  • 5½ ounces cold, dry

Method

Pour the crème de cassis into a chilled flute, then pour in the Champagne and quickly dip the barspoon into the glass to gently mix the Champagne with the cocktail. No garnish.

History

A champagne variant of the Kir, itself named for Félix Kir, a mayor of Dijon, France, who popularized mixing crème de cassis with the region's white wine after World War II.
