The Whisky Highball
St-Germain Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1½ ounces
- 2 ounces cold dry
- 2 ounces cold
- Garnish: 1 twist
Method
Pour the St-Germain into a Highball glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes, then pour in the sparkling wine and quickly dip the barspoon into the glass to gently mix the wine with the cocktail. Express the lemon twist over the drink, then place it into the drink.
History
A modern classic built around St-Germain elderflower liqueur, which launched in 2007 and quickly became a bartender favorite, with the producer's own champagne-and-soda recipe becoming a widely adopted standard.
