Name: Pegu Cub Cocktail
Ingredients: 2 ounces London dry gin; ¾ ounce Cointreau; ¾ ounce fresh lime juice; 1 dash Angostura bitters; 1 dash House Orange Bitters (this page); Garnish: 1 lime wedge

Ingredients

2 ounces London dry
¾ ounce
¾ ounce fresh juice
1 dash
1 dash House Orange Bitters
Garnish: 1 wedge

Method

Shake all the ingredients with ice, then double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the lime wedge.

History

Named for the Pegu Club, a British colonial-era social club in Rangoon, Burma, where the gin-and-orange-liqueur drink was reportedly served to soldiers and became well-traveled enough to appear in Harry Craddock's 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book.
