Ingredients: 2½ ounces Dolin dry vermouth; ½ ounce Bénédictine; 1 teaspoon Pernod absinthe; Garnish: 1 orange twist

Method

Stir all the ingredients over ice, then strain into a chilled coupe. Express the orange twist over the drink, then gently rub it around the rim of the glass and place it into the drink.

History

A vermouth-forward cocktail dating to the early 1900s, appearing in Hugo Ensslin's 1916 book Recipes for Mixed Drinks under the same name.
