Long Island Iced Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces cold
  • ¾ ounce
  • ¾ ounce
  • ¾ ounce Cimarrón
  • ¾ ounce Plantation 3 Stars
  • ¾ ounce
  • ¾ ounce fresh juice
  • Garnish: 1 wedge

Method

Pour the cola into a pint glass. Short shake the remaining ingredients with ice for about 5 seconds, then strain into the glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes and garnish with the lemon wedge.

History

Most commonly credited to bartender Robert "Rosebud" Butt at the Oak Beach Inn on Long Island in the 1970s, combining several clear spirits with cola for a drink that resembles iced tea in color only.
