Method

Shake all the ingredients with ice, then strain into a chilled coupe. No garnish.

History

Reportedly created at the Detroit Athletic Club around 1916, the Last Word fell out of circulation for decades before bartender Murray Stenson revived it at Seattle's Zig Zag Café in the early 2000s, sparking its modern popularity.
