The Sidecar
Shake all the ingredients with ice, then double strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the lime wheel.
Created in 1988 by Toby Cecchini at New York's Odeon, reworking an earlier rail-vodka pink drink into a proper sour with fresh lime, Cointreau, and the newly launched Absolut Citron — it became the defining cocktail of the 1990s.
