Ingredients: 1½ ounces Elijah Craig Small Batch bourbon; ¾ ounce Carpano Antica Formula vermouth; ¾ ounce Campari; Garnish: 1 brandied cherry

Method

Stir all the ingredients over ice, then strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with the cherry.

History

A whiskey riff on the Negroni, first published in a 1927 cocktail book crediting Erskine Gwynne, an American expat in Paris who published a magazine called The Boulevardier.
